How did the Institute for Anatomical Demonstration develop?

HC Biovision is based on the family tradition of the firm Horst Company (HC) founded in 1889. The method for processing organic materials with solvents, formerly patented by Louis von Horst sen., is not only used today in the extraction of medicinal and aroma substances, but represents crucial steps in the plastination method.

The anatomical institute HC Biovision was founded in 2004 with a goal to produce optimised plastinates for daily use as teaching aids, viewing material and exhibits, as well as to make the entire spectrum of anatomical preparation methods available to our customers.

This was made possible by the combination of several years of anatomical experience and substantial knowledge in practical teaching, clinical work, didactics and legal expertise in the areas of health and consumer protection.
