Corrosion plastinates (anatomical corrosion casts)
Casting liquid plastic into a system of hollow cavities creates anatomical preparations, which after setting are separated from the surrounding tissue.
Naturally casts of the vascular system are the most frequent and impressing corrosion preparations. But also airways, bile ducts, urinary tract system and lymphatic system can be visua-lised. In addition casts of e.g. nasolacrimal ducts or the auditory system in relation to casts of the body surfaces or combined skeleton-vessel-preparation can be created.
HC Biovision is capable of individually adapting the flow and solidifying behaviour of plastics, in order to optimise the portrayal of embedded subtleties (e.g. blood capillaries or endothelium cell nuclei).
